If you have a four-legged friend who’s deserving of a delicious freshly baked delicious treat, then we recommend that you make him (or her) these tasty bacon and peanut butter bites. They will surely love them!

The good thing about this recipe is that it’s not only quick but also easy to do! So, we hope you enjoy making these scrummy treats for your pooch almost as much as they’ll enjoy devouring them.

    Ingredients

    • 255g Creamy Peanut Butter.
    • 120ml Water.
    • 1 Large Egg.
    • 240g Whole Wheat Flour.
    • 1 Tbsp Of Honey.
    • 2-3 Pieces Of Finely Chopped Cooked Bacon.
    • 90g Oat Flour. Or 135g Rolled Oats.

    Decoration (Optional)

    • 26g Carob Powder.
    • ½ Tsp Coconut Oil.

    Instructions

    1. Start by preheating your oven to 180C/160C Fan Gas Mark 4.
    2. With a medium bowl, combine your peanut butter, honey, egg, water, and bacon and stir well until combined.
    3. Once this is combined, add both flours to the wet mixture and stir until it forms a doughy consistency.
    4. Place the dough mixture onto a floured surface and roll to ¼ inch thickness.
    5. Get your fun standard cookie cutter set or even a festive variant and cut out your desired shapes and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper with roughly 1 inch between each shape.
    6. Bake your yummy treats for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
    7. Be sure that your biscuits are completely cooled before feeding or decorating.

    Instructions For The Decorations

    1. Melt 26g of carob and ½ tsp of coconut oil in the microwave for 20 seconds at a time, stirring well each time well until fully melted.
    2. Once your delicious bites have cooled off, put the carob mixture into a piping bag. Alternatively, you can snip a small corner off of a sandwich bag to use instead.

    4. Wait for the carob to dry completely and harden before feeding and storing

    Enjoy!

    Store your biscuits in an airtight container or a resealable plastic bag and use within one week for the ultimate freshness and goodness.
